DIGITAL INTERMEDIATE/DIGITAL LAB
We’re a hybrid production company, doing both films and still photographs. And when we say it’s all here, we mean it. We have a full-time staff of ten, and the crew you’ll work with on set has been together for years. We’ll manage your entire production, including talent casting, location, crew, permits, insurance and payroll. And we’re ready to help with any creative needs.
We use our own Red Epic cameras, lovingly tended by Tsukuru. Our post-production capabilities include ten editing bays, DaVinci Resolve color correction, broadcast calibrated theatre with 100” screen, Dolby 5.1 mixing, broadcast mastering and nationwide distribution.
We even cook lunch for you every day. We’ve been told the Udon noodles are pretty impressive.
Growing up on a farm in Dodge City, Kansas, didn’t teach Jeffrey Lamont Brown much about aperture settings. But it did teach him a whole lot about seeing the beauty in everyday life. And he got to see pretty much every kind of sunlight there is…the sun’s entire bag of tricks.
It also taught him about the importance of getting things right, treating people fairly, and working – and working, and working – until the job is done, and done right.
And later, he learned that shooting beautiful pictures for 12 hours a day is a very nice alternative to 12 hours of farm work.
That’s why everybody at Tallgrass makes sure every day is fun. With no whining. No fussiness. No “that’s not my job.”
Even though he literally did get out of Dodge and leave the midwest, Jeffrey gets up every day and remembers how lucky he is to be doing this for a living. The appreciation he learned for hard work, and for the beauty of life, shows up in his images.
Living on a farm is about solving problems. So is the process of capturing images in photos and on video.
That’s what we do here. We solve problems…beautifully.
